Selkirk Golf Club is a small friendly club, with an excellent social membership both on and off the course.     The picture above demonstrates the gravitas of the membership, when this group of golfers, locally known as the' half-niners' because of their propensity for that tee-time in competitions, turned up for the Captain's Prize Day in this rather colourful golfing attire.

The club runs regular competitions for members of the club and the majority are stroke play events, but a variety of other competitions are organised throughout the season with stableford; texas scrambles; team events; greensomes; and foursomes, sometimes comprising mixed teams and occasionally from all club members, including Gents, Ladies & Juniors.     During the course of last year for instance the Gents section of the club played twenty-one stroke play competitions; four stableford events, four major match play competitions; and various team, open and holiday games.

The Ladies Section of the club have the course reserved for their weekly competitions from 4pm on Thursday's and they also play a wide variety of events during the course of the golfing season.

New members are always most welcome.       Please contact the secretary if you wish to join the club - Mr Andrew Robertson, Hon. Secretary, Selkirk Golf Club, The Hill, Selkirk, TD7 4NW.     Tel:- 01750 20519; E-Mail:- This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
