Open 3-Man Team Tournament - 27.8.17

The Selkirk Open 3-Man Team competition took place on Sunday, 27th August, 2017, in good weather with moderate winds.     A total of 13 teams took part and the winners with a nett score of 123 was the team of David Nichol; David Heard and Keith Miller.        Second on a score of 126 was the team of Brian Beattie; Eric Middlemas and D.W. Clark (bih) and they were followed on the same score by the team of John Coyle; George Grant and Graeme Kerr.     Four players managed to get a hole in 2 at the nominated holes and these individual prize winners were Ian Wilkie and George Grant at the 6th; with John Hume and Iain Clark performing the same feat at the 18th, each of them received £10 for their efforts.     The entry fee per team was £21, making a total of £273 from the thirteen teams.     The sum of £225 was paid out in cash to the winners, and with £40 going to the two's winners this left £8 for
the contingency fund.
