Yarrowford Shield Round No. 3 - 7.10.17

The third and final round of the Yarrowford Shield was played on Saturday, 7th October, 2017, and a rather disappointing entry of only 26 members took part.     The winner on the day was Jock Easson with a very good score of 74 (9) 65; closely followed by Norman Roxburgh on 72 (6) 66 and Robert 'Tug' Wilson on 85 (16) 69 (bih).      Four players managed to get a two at the nominated holes and these were Jock Easson at the 7th; and David Beveridge; Graeme Bell and Jock Easson (again) at the 18th, each receiving £4 per hole for their efforts.     The entry fee was £3, making a total of £87 from the 26 entrants.     With £75 being paid out to the winners, and £16 to the 2’s winners, this left the contingency fund depleted by £4.     The winner of the Yarrowford Shield, being the player who had the lowest two net scores from the three rounds was Jock Easson with an aggregate score of 134; Second was Bruce Bett on 136 and third was Graeme Bell on 137.
