The Bogey Trophy - 1.6.19

The Bogey Trophy, this year sponsored by the 'Half Niners' was played on Saturday, 1st June, 2019, and a total of 39 members took part.     The competition requires each player to take on the course at ‘match play’ and Alistair McVie took the honours being a very creditable ‘three-up’ at the end of his round.     He was followed by Chris Kemp on a score of 'two up', and in 3rd place on 'one up' (bih) was Thomas Andrew.     Due to the generous sponsorship by the 'half niners' cash to the value of £60; £50 and £40 respectively was paid to these winners.     Five players managed to hole out in two at the nominated holes, and these were Neil Beaumont, Scott Galloway and Tom Welsh at the 6th, with Thomas Andrew and David Beveridge performing the same feat at the 18th.     Each of these players received winnings of £4.     The entry fee was £3, making a total of £117 from the 39 entrants; £90 pounds of this was paid out to the winners and £20 to the two’s winners, with £7 going to the contingency fund.
