This competition was played on 29th May in perfect weather conditions on a warm sunny day with very light winds. It requires entrants to play a hole by hole match against the par of the course. The winner of the Bogey Trophy with a very respectable score of 2up against the course was Chris McLeod who achieved this by having a best inward half of 3up; second on the same score was Neil Beaumont with a best inward half of 2up; and third also on the same score was Grant Kinghorn with a better inward half of all square. They received monetary prizes of £40; £30 and £20 respectively. Three players managed to get a 2 at one of the nominated holes, namely Scott Galloway; Donald Ballantyne and John A. Hume, all of them achieving this at the 6th hole. Each of them received £6 for their efforts. Thirty seven members took part in the competition and the entry fee was £3, making a total of £111 to be allocated as prizes. Prize money of £90 was paid out to the winners, and with £18 being paid out to the 2’s winners, this left £3 for the contingency fund.
